Adrian Berry is an interdisciplinary artist, musician, and educator based in Toronto, Canada. Their work brings together music, sound, visual art, technology, and collaborative creative practice through performance, education, and community-based projects.

Meet Adrian

Over the past decade, Adrian has built a multifaceted career as a saxophonist, vocalist, composer, producer, and creative facilitator. They have toured internationally with bands including Ted Leo & The Pharmacists, Downtown Boys, and Gauche, performing hundreds of shows while developing a practice rooted in experimentation, improvisation, and collective music-making. Their work has been featured by The New Yorker, Rolling Stone, and VICE.

Alongside their artistic practice, Adrian creates and leads programming at the University of Toronto as a sessional lecturer, creative researcher, and program coordinator in popular music, music technology, and community-engaged arts education. Their work focuses on designing inclusive, project-based learning experiences that empower people to develop creative confidence, artistic voice, and sustainable creative practices.

Adrian's current work spans live performance, recording, teaching, and multimedia art. Their solo project, Gold Cove, began as an audiovisual exploration of memory, desire, and resilience through music, video, and installation. With generous support from the Canada Council for the Arts' Explore and Create program, the project has evolved into a live duo with bassist and creative technologist Ely Lyonblum, blending bass, synthizers, vocals, saxophone and effects processing.

Alongside Gold Cove, Adrian performs throughout Toronto's experimental and ambient music community as a vocalist and saxophonist with Kilometer Club and Metric Time Ensemble. Across all of their work, Adrian is interested in creating spaces where curiosity, play, and experimentation become catalysts for meaningful artistic experiences.

Currently, Adrian is available for sessional work, creative collaboration & private lessons.
